At our community gathering last November, we displayed as many paintings by people with learning disabilities as possible. We took time to enjoy the exhibition and to vote for the one for the International Online Art Gallery. It was a close decision with only one vote between the top three – all were good!

We photographed each painting for our own online art gallery showcasing the artistic talents of our community. Each year we have an open day art exhibition where any artist in the locality can open their house to the public and display their art.

We open our workshop and display art work of community members with and without learning disabilities, with a photograph of each artist and a short biography, and description of their skills and interests. It is a wonderful way to honour the artistic talents of community members.
